Come into my enchanting little cottage. The lights are on, there's hot chocolate in the mugs and a little fire in the fireplace. We're just waiting for you.
And speaking of enchanting, this is one of the little fawns that I posted in the fall. I took this shot yesterday. he has his winter coat grown out and he's very interested in Rascal. I don't know if he think's that Rascal's another fawn or an enemy but he's very curious.
Thank you for your kind and loving comments about my post about Cathy. Bloggers are the best friends ever! Diane

Do You See What I See?
I know I was holding my breath as I watched this gentle spirit outside our back gate and
and snapped some pictures from inside the house. I see their
footprints everywhere and now and then I catch a glimpse of them.
This one was so close, nibbling on a tidbit, and I could almost touch him.
A precious sight for early in the morning.

Deer Kiss
Yesterday I drove through one place on the road and there were deer everywhere. I was driving and took only a couple pictures, I was worried about hitting one. The deer look so good this fall they must have had a good summer. In this picture I captured a deer kiss! Or maybe it's just a nuzzle. Diane

Seldom Seen
This obviously wasn't taken today, our grass is not even beginning to look this lush and beautiful. This herd of deer is near the hospital which is on the big hill overlooking the valley where we live. They come down here, their tracks are everywhere, down our sidewalk, down the alley but I hardly ever see them. I put out apples and carrots to help them through the winter. The next day the treats are gone, there are tracks. It makes me feel good as I cut them up knowing that a sweet creature will nibble them up. Diane

So Precious
I held my breath as it came out of the trees and was so thankful to get a picture of the little thing. Still spotted.
It came on down to the creek to drink, how very beautiful.
I was thrilled to get photos of them and I slipped very quietly away so as not to disturb them.

Watcher
Do you remember the fawns I fussed about late last summer because I was worried about them making it through the winter? This deer was watching us as I walked Rascal today. I had a keen feeling that this was one of them. It looks very strong and healthy like it's finding enough food to eat. Thank you, God. God bless you, Diane

No White Faced Ibis
I saw 15 or 20 hen pheasants and one rooster, red winged blackbirds, ducks and bugs. However, no white faced ibis but that was O.K. It was fun to see what was there.
God bless you, Diane

God's Creatures

As I was taking Rascal for his little walk I noticed something out of the corner of my eye that looked out of place. I looked again and there stood the most beautiful little fawn. Then another fawn appeared and then the little mother. They looked like Dresden figurines. Actually they're little whitetails.
Our friend, Ben, had a large lot behind his house which he considered his wildlife sanctuary. The wildlife know it, too. Often I see deer, wild turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, and numerous types of birds. Whenever I see a gentle, beautiful creature in Ben's sanctuary, I know he's just smiling now.
I'm smiling, too. Thank you for your sweet, loving outpouring of prayers and love. You're all so very special.God bless you, Diane
