Labor Day always seems like a second New Year's day to me. Even though my girls are grown I still feel the back-to-school excitement. As church secretary that was the time to begin back on the regular schedule, and when we bowled it was the beginning of the year for the leagues. One more chance to get it right this year, a new (and different) start.
It's really the day to celebrate the working people and one day for them to rest. It's a day to honor the countless people who keep the real wheels turning, the unsung heroes who are the real builders of our country. Diane

Wonderful post. You said it all. Happy Labor Day to you as well.
To me this day signals the end of being lazy and now having to get back into routine. This is all good.
What a great picture of a totally incomprehensible creature. Dragonflies seem to be real
space aliens :)
Gorgeous pic of a dragonfly,I have such a fondness for them. Dragonflies signify transition so how fitting for the beginning of a new season.
Wow, Diane, this is a wonderful shot!!! I love both the dragonfly and the background - it is really beautiful!
I like that analogy Diane. It really is like a restart for the rest of the year, isn't it? Love your dragonfly too. :c)
That is a lovely picture of the dragonfly.
Happy Labor Day! It's the laborers who should be making the real money rather than it going to those who only provide entertainment (like celebrities, sports players and politicians). :)
My boys start school tomorrow. Yusef's last year -- I hope it's a good one.
Have a great week. Tammy
Amen, Diane! Hope your holiday was wonderful! I love the pic of the dragon fly!
