Last Night

We had the grand total of two trick or treaters.  This is our neighbor and his little boy.  Gradin was dressed as a little skunk.  What a cute little stinker he was.  He had an awful time trying to hold his sucker in his "paws".
......and Kiddo.  She's a Yorkie and I think Rascal likes her.  She's littler than he is and he was so excited to have another real dog in his house.  He would run over and grab his toy and look at her and then bark.
Oh, I forgot.  Leonard looked out the front door once to see if there were any other kids in the neighborhood and there sat Luna, our other neighbor's cat so I guess that makes 3.

Halloween has changed and probably for the better.  There are so many community events planned for the kids that they would rather be there than in an old neighborhood like ours.  But next year I'm NOT going to stock up on so much candy!!                             Diane

Peace

Here are a couple interpretations of the word peace that I found today.  The above was on the side of the hill in the country.
And this is a place that I seek out whenever I'm in that area, I love the peaceful stillness of the water and the lazy leaves floating on the surface.  Peace to you.        Diane

A Moment

Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to cope with it.            Anonymous
As I try to think of the best part of my day the thing that stands out is a few moments of peace sitting in the sanctuary/outdoor living space.  A few quiet moments with God.  Refreshing and centering.

Another good part was a chat with my neighbor - until she took off like a blue streak remembering that she had a pie in the oven.                         Diane

Morning Peace

A wonderful time of the day. My coffee, an afghan to snuggle up against the chills, all that I need to start the day in a positive state of mind. The piece of crochet is something I'm working on and of course, morning devotionals. Hope you've had a beautiful Sunday and that your week is good. Diane
