Our Princess Mother

  A visit with Mother today and she seems to be doing well.  I even got a smile out of her. 

Every once in a while she likes to do something nice for herself and this is one of those times.  She saw this Princess Diana ring and thought about it for a long time and when it became apparent that she wasn't going to be able to think about anything else she ordered it.  She loves it and feels like a princess whenever she wears it.                                              Diane
                

Another Visit

Today I went to see Mother.  I wish I could get over there to see here more often than I do but life just doesn't seem to allow that.  I do the best I can.  I wish that she could get out of the wheelchair and go check on her hollyhocks at home, I wish I could make her smile, or laugh.   I wish I could make her happy when I bring her some flowers or my face.  I wish I could make her young. 

She always told us "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride."

Big Day

 Today our mother turned eighty eight years old.  She had a wonderful day, telephone calls, visits, people just stopping in to give their wishes, flowers, cards................

..............here she is with her favorite nurse.  She just received a cell phone for Mother's Day and she's having so much fun with it.  She keeps it in a little Betty Boop bag on the arm of her wheel chair.  She's even smiling for me today.   Happy Birthday Mother!                     Diane
