Goodbye to the Beads

Mother gave up her beads.  Her arms and hands don't work well enough to work with them anymore.
When she made the decision she told the people at the care center and they all came in and took them away.  They turned them over to a consignment store and turned them into money for Mother.
A few years ago I took a picture of some of them.  The way they were arranged (or not arranged) struck me and I'm glad I got the shot.  Now we can always remember something that Mother enjoyed for a long time.  I think all of the female members of the family and all of her friends have many, many necklaces that she made.

She's doing well.  Her body goes downhill but she's still sharp as a tack and she can understand everything as long as she can hear.  She's been in the care center four years now and they're so good to her there, we're so fortunate to have her in a place of that calibre.        Diane
