Gratitude

Thank you so much for your generous comments about my pic of Leonard.  It was just one of those lucky things but I learned something very valuable (to me, at least).  I had taken a short video of him and he didn't know it.  Then I taught myself how to capture the exact pose and turn it into a still shot.  You've probably known about that forever but I didn't.  Also, because he didn't know I was doing the video I was able to capture a very good shot of him which seems to me much better.  Again, thanks a lot - you're great!

Deep In Thought?

Yes, my husband does spend a lot of time thinking.  He's a great thinker - he studies politics and can read between the lines in much of the political gobbledegook.  Over the years he's learned a lot about what makes people tick and why civilizations rise or fall.  But this time instead of thinking about some big problem he's actually trying to figure his next move on solitaire.

Watching People

This is my husband, Leonard.  Behind that rather serious facade is a man with a fantastic imagination, especially when it comes to people.
Several times, especially when we're waiting in a mall, or hospital, he has entertained me for hours with his descriptions of people.  "Look, this guy is an old retired lumber yard man. See how he's walking sideways like he's carrying some 2 x4s?"   It was just a running dialog about everybody that happened to walk in front of his radar.  Pretty soon he'd have me laughing so hard I was crying and I didn't dare look at those poor people or I would break out laughing.  He is murder! As someone who I don't think would notice if I dyed my hair purple he has the most keen observational skills of humans and human nature.
Just a little insight into the man I'm married to.                 Diane

Snow Man

I know you're as tired of seeing snow pictures as much as we are having storms. But I think you might get a kick out of this. Today's pictures...................

Note the way he's fixed up his tractor to hold his oxygen tank and cart.....

The oxygen company thinks he's a little hard on the tank carts.  Nobody ever told him (and he
wouldn't listen anyway) that people on oxygen should be sitting in the house taking
it easy.

His Day

Calls and gifts from my three girls, lunch out with his daughter, her husband, and their little girl, Lili.  And more gifts.  Rascal signed a card with his pawprint, I made a picture for him and we gave him a box of candy, and tried to spoil him.  He deserves a special day.  He's a very special dad.                       Diane
