Summer's Gone

Killing frosts, layering coats when I walk Rascal, cold nose.  Time to put summer away, what's left of pots, hoses, furniture.  Now the leaves are beginning to take over and if we're lucky we can get them raked up before the first snowfall.  It's over for this year - the bees, butterflies, roses, morning glories, sitting in our sanctuary - over until next year.

Gratitude - The changing seasons - each bringing it's own beauty and traditions

Just a Tinge

The snow isn't as deep as it looks in this picture. Most of it on the ground is old snow that's piled up over the winter. I just liked the design of the snow on the roof of our old chicken house (no chickens in it now, just storage). This was a little snowstorm we had yesterday morning.

Actually it was nice enough today to get out and walk in the sun and it felt wonderful.

When the sun came up this morning it felt different, it felt like a tinge of spring was in it, just a tinge. Even my husband mentioned it. Another person I met today said something about it so maybe it wasn't just me. I hope you felt it, too, where you live.
God bless you, Diane
