Ben would have loved this light today.Ben was our dear friend and neighbor who died from cancer at 58 years of age a couple years ago.
He lived quietly in this big old house at the end of our block. Part of his property was this wooded area of about 3 lots. He kept it mowed and nurtured the trees and he loved the animals that visited. I like to call it his south 40. Many of my creature pictures are taken at the south 40. Today I caught the sun just right and the shadows were incredible. I can just hear him as he would come out to greet us, "Leonard, Diane, isn't it just a beautiful day?
