Glorious spring and new roof..........

We're already 3/4 of the way through May and it's just beautiful here.  Isn't this a beautiful time of the year?  The lilacs, apple trees, forsythias, plums, almonds are blooming and the bees are mad with joy.  The trees are buzzing when I walk under them.

For the first time since we moved here 30 years ago I'm getting a new roof.  I think the roofer said there are 5 layers  of roofing.  Considering the fact that this house was built in 1900, I'm not surprised.  Leonard would be so happy.  He tried for years to get the insurance company to pay for it and did patching and re-roofing himself.  What it finally took was to ask them to assign a new adjuster?!

Puck ran from the front door to the back window worried about it this morning, he's finally settled down after I took him outside to see that the people weren't murderers and all the equipment in "his" yard.

Hope life is being good for you.          Blessings, Diane

Spring is looking beautiful where you are. Even for May here in the desert it is quite mild (at least to us). I'm still able to enjoy daily walks. Glad to hear you are getting the roof taken care of.

Yay for a new roof! That should keep you snug and dry for many years to come. I love your arbor. That color is great! :) Kit
