As winter draws to a close all the old seems dirty and dreary and the new hasn't quite appeared. Still, there's beauty to photograph, it just takes more creative thinking.
New awakening is everywhere. As I stood at the top of the road here yesterday I could hear the sound of melting snow trickling down the hill. The winter colors are disappearing and the trees are taking on a different tone.
Comparing some of last years pictures to this years, things were already blooming and the snow cover had long since disappeared. And after the crippling drought that our poor country went through last summer I'm glad the snow is hanging on as long as is is. Diane

Diane,I so agree with you.We need the moisture the snow is bringing. You captured the early spring beauty so well with these two pictures.
I'm glad Spring is slowly finding its way to your corner of the world. We are already warming up over here with daytime temps reaching close to 90 -- the a/c is a must or things get very stuff. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Tammy
That first picture is so beautiful. And your frosty morning pic looks so serene. xobean
Yes, there are always things to be thankful for, and maybe less chance for drought is a small price to pay.
