I looked back a few weeks and found the brightest and prettiest picture that I could find.
About a week ago we had a tornado warning. The worst of it went north of us but we had hard winds. They caused a cotton blizzard. Long strands of cotton were blown out of all the old cottonwood trees in our neighborhood and plastered everywhere. They're hanging from the flowers and stuck to the fence, they're hard to pick up off the lawn - kind of like an old mattress that blew to pieces. It seems like the more I clean it up the more there is. That's why I posted the pretty picture - to remind myself that it can be beautiful - someday!!! Diane

That is just the strangest thing - and I'd never have learned about it if not for your post. Does the cotton not melt away? What will you do with all of it?
It does look like it left you with quite a mess!!
Oh my goodness! I've never seen anything like that. Great photos. At least the cotton doesn't blow into your house and cover everything. :/ Dusting is never ending around here. Have a bright and beautiful day. Tammy
The picture is pretty Diane, and the cottonwood is unbelievable. We have these trees everywhere here, and when it blows, it wreaks havoc on our sinuses.
Well I have heard of alot of Blizzards --including the ones at the Dairy Queen!!!! ha... But--I haven't heard of a COTTON Blizzard. That is unbelievable. That's as bad as the dust storm someone was talking about in Phoenix recently.... Bet you did pick up and clean up cotton for many days after that storm....
Have a blessed Sunday.
Hugs,
Betsy
