I captured these rugs airing out at one of my neighbors. It reminded me again why I love these old rag rugs - the colors are faded so beautifully, they show the hand of the person who made it, and even though they begin to wear out, they're still loved. Diane

I always look for these rugs at sales, and I have three that I rotate in front of the kitchen sink. They started out with distinct colours, but time, the washing machine and the sun have done their best and now all three are the same pink-ish hue.
There is something special about these old items.I think it is the memories they evoke.
Hi Diane, I remember those kinds of rugs... We had them when I was growing up... They were pretty--but they also could slide sometimes, or get wrinkled. I'd probably break my leg if I had one these days... ha ha
