Last year this house and yard were so lavishly decorated in purples and greens. I drove by yesterday and was delighted to see that this year it's done in red and white and silver. I was able to capture a birds nest along with these fat red stars.
It's hard to get a good angle on it and show everything at once.
Everything is decorated, window boxes, inside the front door. I knocked on the door to speak to the lady and compliment her but she wasn't home. Last year I found that she's a little elderly lady and the flamboyant decorating did not seem to fit her. She told me that her nephew likes to decorate for her, he decorates windows for a big department store somewhere.
I went back last night to get the lighting, 5 reindeer all with big red tinselly bows. It's so pretty.

Thanks again, for making my evening special.
I love the decorations on this house.
Perhaps if I had someone to do it for me,my house would be lit up too.
Blessings,Ruth
Oh this is just wonderful! I love that her nephew does it for her. We have an elderly lady in her 70's who has tons of twinkly lights all over her yard and house and it looks spectacular. And she puts them up all on her own. Christmas would not be the same without her display. Kit
I love the decorating that she (or her nephew) did this year! Those big red stars are so cool.
I loved reading the post about your niece Diane. She has a wonderful talent...and me thinks, a very proud auntie. She is such a beautiful girl.
Sending you long Christmas hugs dear friend...
