Bumfuzzled

The other day I thought for sure that I'd lost a loaf of bread. But when I found it, it had only slipped down between the cupboard and the wall. Whew! I know it never happens to any of you but there have been times it's happened to people in my family - I won't say how close. One time when we still used sugar bowls I searched for mine and found it in the refrigerator. My sister-in-law and I were quite baffled to find a bar of oleo in my mother's canister of dog food. Mother offered a "perfect explanation?" though. I'd love to hear if just by chance it might have happened to you, too. I think it only happens to those of us who are either bordering on dementia or just have too much on our minds.

I once had a friend who had a horrible odor in her kitchen and had her husband turning the place upside down looking for a dead mouse. Turns out she found a full chicken she'd purchased at the grocery store a week before, in her bread box! :c)

A few weeks ago, I bought a big bag of rolls of loo paper at the supermarket, hanging it onto the hook on the trolley. A couple of days later, wanting to replenish stocks, I couldn't find it. I still can't understand it - I can't have left it in the store, I took the trolley out to the car and then back to the trolley park, so I'd have never not noticed it. It's too big to lose in the house. It's a mystery.

Cute post!! All sorts of things turn up in our refrigerator!! It usually happens on the busiest of days when I can't even keep my thoughts straight.

I'm glad to have found your blog!

Oh I'm so glad that I'm not the only one to do crazy things at times. Just tonight --I posted on someone's blog--and realized AFTER the fact that I called her the wrong name. DUH!!!

Hugs,
