......as I write this tonight. This is an older picture but I can still smell the lupine when it's in full bloom rolling over the hills with the most amazing intoxicating scent. In fact the mountains are so many smells, the woodsy pines and sagebrush, a campfire, cattle that graze there in the summer months. Sometimes I could even catch the smell of deer. Maybe this summer - if not, they're still in my memory. Diane

The lupine blooms in the north island, all along the roadsides - such a beautiful sight!
I know what you mean about one sense beckoning the others to join in - sight calls to smell and hearing calls to sight.........

I can't agree more. Smells transport me. The smell of spruce in alaska sometimes takes me to the bighorns. Such sweet memories. Xo
