"The rose speaks of love silently, in a language known only to the heart." unknown
Roses love autumn. When the weather cools off and we get more moisture they're in their element. They bloom and bloom until it gets so cold they take a winter rest.
You just have to find your joy when and where you can. So much bad stuff in the world and in our country, so much to feel bad about. But there is the good, there's nice people, and beauty and good food and, well, there's roses. Diane

What a pretty post Diane, I agree with you of the condition of our world right now. Finding beauty through it all, and a lot of prayer, make it easier to bare.
I agree! It has been so hot this summer and my roses did great but right now they are waiting for some cool to give me a few more blooms. Enjoy! Kit
That photo is charming and would make a great note card.
I have never tried growing roses and know nothing about them. Who would think they'd like fall and the cool temps. I thought they were full summer sun lovers. If I ever try to grow any, I know where I can get expert advice :) We get the keys to the new house on Friday!!!!!
Thanks for sharing these beautiful sweet roses.
The last roses of summer have such beautiful poignancy. Lovely, around the statue.
When we were in Spokane last week, we were in the rose garden taking pictures and soaking up the smell. It made me feel so good to see MEN walking around taking pictures and enjoying the roses too. That is the man to love . . . one who loves cats and roses!
