Hollyhocks always remind me of old ladies. Maybe because Grandma H. had them beside her house and I would pick the flower and make a "skirt" out of it for my flower doll. Love those flowers! xobean
I have been anxiously awaiting for mine to bloom also Diane, This is the first year they are blooming, so I don't know what color they are! The ones in your neighborhood are beautiful, hope to see photos of yours when they bloom!

They certainly are appealing. I think they might be addictive. Look at that bunch in the 2nd picture. I love how they get so tall and sturdy.
