We had a violent thunderstorm last night with flash flooding.
In between that one and the thunderstorm tonight I managed to capture a couple pictures of the opening of our first roses. Soon this bush will be covered by hundreds of blooms. This is a start of a rose given to me and I call it Kevin's rose.
It's still light out at 9:20 p.m. and when a took Rascal out (between rainstorms) I realized that it's only abut 9 days until the longest day of the year - then we will start heading the other way. Time flies, doesn't it? Diane

I love roses too Diane, mine is in bloom now, with hundreds of buds. So beautiful, aren't they? I'm more than ready for some dry days, today the sun has finally come out. Hope it dries soon for you too!
It goes fast! I used to celebrate summer solstice. Then I realized that the winter solstice was the one to celebrate! xobean
p.s. sorry about your flash floods!
I hope you are having a good summer so far. :) It is a rainy day today, I don't mind, I have to go groc shopping. Have a great weekend! Kit
I enjoy a good thunderstorm as long as everyone is safe.
