you meet the nicest people......................

............in the Christmas decorations!  Today I went to the store to find a couple things for an art project and came home with all of this.

However, the best thing I found was two delightful women, one who was just reveling in all the pretty decorations and sparkles. "I just love Christmas, I can't help it!" she said.  We decided that we were kindred spirits and she went on her way wishing me a beautiful day.

The next one was having a little trouble walking the same as me but she was picking out ornaments for her 4 grandchildren.  She told me that she has bought them each one since they were born and she always tries to make it something that's pertinent to their life, like football or scouts or fairies.  "Then," she said "when they leave home they'll all have decorations for their own tree."

Each of these women just brightened up my day.

Such a fun trip! And I love the fact that all three of you were loving the Christmas decorations and not gripping about them being out too early. My daughter and I were browsing the ornies at Target today. :) Kit

What an amazing idea, I will have to file that one away for the future!
How amazing is it, that I have a letter in Alaska that traveled all the way up here.....small world indeed!
I love your decorations, I can't wait to see what you create with them.

I too love Christmas but can't put up a tree or quite so many decorations now as my very naughty pusses always think they are there for their benefit. Never mind, I still have great fun browsing other crafty people's blogs and making Christmassy gifts for a craft forum Advent swap. Here in Australia it's quite a bit warmer but not as hot as it usually is at this time of year. I remember the snow as I was born in the South of England and only came to Australia when I was 13.
Do hope you're recovering well from your last fall. I''m a little infirm at the moment having to use a hopper frame to get about. I suffer from osteoarthritis and need a hip replacement.
