Today on a talk show Martin Indyk was speaking with Andrea Mitchell about an attempt by Bill Clinton to help create peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians. In it he spoke of the promise of "the quiet miracle of a normal life".
The quiet miracle of a normal life. I've been thinking about that phrase all day. What a beautiful thought and how so many people in this world would love to have that very thing. Oh, that we would all have that. Diane

That is a beautiful phrase. So many people don't know what it is like to have a quiet, normal existence. Imagine all the people in war torn areas who fear for their lives every day. People who are homeless and have to deal with the elements or worse. People who are living quiet, normal lives forget there are people who don't have that same privilege.
