The hollyhocks are almost over for this year. These poor, neglected flowers with their happy faces have graced alleys and fences and forgotten corners and they've given their stately joy to a hopelessly hot summer. How can you look at a hollyhock and not be a little happier? Diane

Wonderfully put! They are a happy flower. :) Kit
I love Hollyhocks.Unfortunately mine have not bloomed this year. It has been too hot and dry,I think.
They are absolutely gorgeous ... even up to the end. I just love this flower! Best wishes to you, Tammy
I love the way they have a full stalk of blooms! So pretty!
I love hollyhocks Diane, mine didn't grow this year. I have miniature hollyhocks that did quite well considering the lack of rain and terrible heat. I love how you word things, so beautiful!
I love hollyhocks but have never been able to grow them- such a pretty old-fashioned flower! Jane xx
They deserve a place of honor in any garden. Faithful and lovely friends.
