Just a thought today..................

Each and every one of you already knows this and so do I.  So this is just a reminder, especially to myself.

My neighbor is having a hard time right now.  He says he's beat the cancer but the medicine that he's on for the next four months takes away so much of his quality of life.  And the medicine ---- $14,000.00 a month!!!!  He does get some help from the pharmaceutical company.  I feel so sorry for him and for all who suffer and have bad things they're dealing with.  Each cup of coffee I savor, each rose I smell, each friend I meet who stops to chat - so precious.  Don't waste a single moment or chance to savor life.  We never know when it will change.   Diane

That's for sure Diane. WhenI was at my reunion a few weeks ago, my BIL was acting a little strange. I talked my sister into taking him to a hospital nearby (where the reunion was being held) thinking he was having mini strokes but it turned out he had brain cancer. Their lives changed that very day. Our entire family's has for the next few months while we enjoy the little time we have left with him.

Oh we have had the extreme heat here too Diane. We had a week of 100+ and then got a reprieve and today we had 90 which is very hot for us in the mountains. But I will take it after having three digit temps. I just can't go outside when it's that hot.
hugs from here...

Dear Diane, you are so right. I've been trying to slow down a little and savour the beauty of each day, Jane xx

How sad Diane, I'll put him on my prayer list. You're so right, every moment must be cherished, every life valued. Thank-you for the reminder.

I try to never take my health for granted. With some loved ones that have suffered with health problems and a friend that is waiting for an organ donation, I thank God for my many blessings and health. Thank you for this beautiful reminder.

blessings,
Danielle

Diane, my motto is to enjoy each day to the fullest and one day at a time.
Your photo today is so calming.
Maybe printing off a few of your beautiful garden photos would bring some outdoor joy to your neighbour.
Have a wonderful day Diane.

Oh yes. Life is too short to not savour every moment.

The old adage is true . . . without your health you have nothing. I try not to take my good health for granted. Keeping in check what I can control. Cancer sucks - Period. I am so sorry for him and his situation. Life is short - we must live it completely.
Love you! Bean

So very true, Diane. I think it is awful when someone has to go into debt to have the proper medicines to extend their life. Why does it cost so much in the States when one could get the same medicine in another part of the world for so much cheaper? It seems like even in someone's darkest hour, there's always someone there with a hand extended -- not in kindness, but wanting that almighty dollar. Really very sad.

Hugs and blessings, Tammy
