Pinecones and Roses

Tomorrow will be the 1st of March. Although we had a heavy snowstorm just yesterday, winter is losing it's icy grip. It's cold but not sub-zero and when the sun comes out it's pretty and you can feel some warmth to it. There's a beautiful light that's beginning to show up in the morning. People are beginning to venture out of their homes and look around their yards. It's too early to do anything, raking, cleaning flower beds and I'm glad, I'm not ready yet. I'd just as soon languish around like winter and take my time.

Ah yes, let's hibernate a little longer. Anyway we need the moisture quite badly here. Your blog is very pretty...love all the nice things to see and the picture of your pink peony.

Hello Diane, I have been envious of all your snow but now I feel lucky as Spring has come to Salisbury. It's mild and the first flowers are starting to bloom! Jane xx

Glad to hear things are warming up just a bit where you are. We've had dust since Tuesday so it has been rather dreary and blah here. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Tammy

While I'm ready for the warm sun to make a steady and dependable appearance, I could still enjoy a day or two of enforced leisure - to rainy to garden, so I'll just snuggle up with a book and a cup of tea for another Saturday!

Me too. Can't help look out the window everyday for signs of spring. :)
Have a happy weekend, Diane!
