I'm dreaming of cutting some more flower beds out of the center of the yard. This I haven't mentioned to anyone else yet. I'd love to have the back yard just paths through flowers and vegetables. We do have plans to make a brick sidewalk from where you see the lattice on to the house, brick's a lot of fun to work with, HARD WORK!, but fun. Then I'd like to make a stone path leading off of that to my cottage, that should cut the yard up so that I can visualize more beds. What do you think? Diane
Hmmm, sounds interesting...where would you put the flowers.... add them to the back corner?
ReplyDeleteI am sure whatever you do it will look awesome!

Sounds like an excellent idea.I hope you won't have to do all the hard work.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,Ruth
I have to catch up on your posts! My back kind of went out...the other day, yuck!
ReplyDeleteI love your idea, it will look like an English garden but your garden is soooo beautiful now.
I know your putting hours of hardwork and it shows!!!
My husband would say: Go for it... The less grass he has to grow, the happier he is!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've seen alot of yards with stepping stone (or sand) paths around the garden...
I say--if you want to do it, do it!!!! Your butterflies and bees and birdies would love it...
Hugs,
Betsy
Your yard is going to be perfectly beautiful! I have had the same dream, so little grass to cut, and a wonderful peaceful haven. It won't happen here though, Ken won't have anything to do with gardening. And I can't do it alone! I'll live vicariously through yours Diane!
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful!! Your flowers are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMore beds and paths - definitely!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good plan - please post pictures of the results!

I think it would be lovely Diane. Oh to have a yard fully engulfed in garden! :c)
ReplyDeleteLove the idea. I had a house in Lafayette, CO that had no grass. Just meandering gravel paths & garden beds. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, Diane!
Dine I think you already know what I think! Of course I say go for it. Making a new bed is always hard work...but it is the best kind of hard work. Your garden is beautiful!!!
