Here in SoCal we have what we call "June Gloom" in the morning, but by mid-day, we are in the 90's. Our mountain trails that were surrounded by greenery are now starting to turn brown and most of our wildflowers are gone. I guess the fact that you have snow that does not melt off until June that your greenery and wildflowers last longer.
