Pinecones and Roses

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

Hello, December................

After losing Leonard this summer, I'm not sure how I will celebrate Christmas.  It will be different, that's for sure.  Some traditions are too painful to try to keep and for some reason, others will be sacredly kept.  Like his chair there is now the poinsettia issue.  I love pink poinsettias.  He always loved RED ones.  So we usually compromised and bought one of each.  So this year I will have a beauiful pink one for me and a beautiful red one for him.

I'm going to do it my way.................kind of.                              Diane

What a lovely photo. Such a cozy spot. Yes, everything changes, but I know you will make the most and the best of it. The holidays certainly changed as my boys got older. Traditions fell to the wayside. And that's okay. We don't have to do things the same way forever and a day. :)

Hello Diane
I'm so sorry to read your sad news.
I've just read back through your old posts.
None of us are ever really prepared for this, your poignant comment about Leonard's chair brought tears to my eyes.
It's a comfort for you having Rascal - another beating heart and a good listener in the house.
I hope your family are close by and caring for you.
Sending you warm hugs
Shane

I love your pink decorations. I think you are doing the right thing. Some memories must remain memories only and some things you must keep on doing and you are the only one who knows which is which.
