Different things.............

As I write this morning several things crowd into my mind and I'm not sure which will win.

For one thing,  Cathy told me of the passing of Roger Clawson who was a columnist for many years for the Billings Gazette.  That was the first thing I read every Sunday morning, next was the crossword.  I loved his columns, he was one of a kind.  He wrote from everything from his outrage at injustices to plum blossoms, to "trash cats".  It seems that he covered whatever was on his mind,  Irreverent and observant he loved Montana and the Yellowstone River.  I'm sorry he's gone.  He was one of the best in my mind.

Next, I must share a devotional I read yesterday.....I must!  I won't write the whole thing, just the beginning story.

An old Native American story tells of a young boy who was sent into the woods alone on an autumn night to prove his courage.  Soon the sky darkened and the sounds of night filled the air.  Trees creaked and groaned, an owl screeched, and a coyote howled.  Even though he was frightened, the boy remained in the woods all night, as the test required.  Finally morning came, and he saw a solitary figure nearby.  It was his grandfather who had been watching over him all night long.
That's the way God is.  He says"I will be with you." and he always is.

Have a beautiful day.                       Diane

An irreverent, observant voice is much needed in this day and age when certain people in power take themselves way too seriously and others drift through life asleep at the wheel. It is true that we are never alone -- I know of many instances where surely the angels were watching over me. Hugs and blessings, Tammy
