The story of the pink iris..............

A very sad story with a happy ending.  Last spring (2014) I ordered a beautiful pink iris named In Love Again.  It was 12.95 or something like that.  It didn't come until last fall and I planted it at that time.  All spring I anxiously waited for it to open and when it did.....................

........it wasn't pink.  It was beautiful but it wasn't pink.

At the family reunion over a week ago several of us were talking about flowers and I, of course, was telling abut my iris.  One of the gals who lives in Casper said she had a pink one.  Really!!  She said she'd send me some plants when they were through blooming.
A package came about 5 days later and when I opened it there were several plants as well as.......one beautiful, perfect pink iris.
I have no idea how she timed the iris to be open at that time but it was perfect and perfectly beautiful.

How lovely. So amazing to me when folks send real plants by mail and they actually survive. Does that mean you will get to plant them and have your own pink blooms in the future? :)

What a blessing Diane, I haven't seen a pink one and this is beautiful. I think I have every color there is, or thought I did.
