The way we were..............

This picture was taken (by Bean) probably around 1995.   It's my favorite picture of us, mostly because we look so happy. And you'll notice we'ere in the mountains.  We were always happiest, I think, in the mountains.

Today we have a very different life.  He is very ill and my role as wife has turned into full time caregiver.  Today he will have a blood transfusion to build up his red blood cells and buy him some time.

Everything changes - cherish the moment.                                 Diane

Oh Diane,My heart goes out to you. Switching from being a wife to being a caregiver is not easy. May God give you day to day strength.I hope you can get help so that you will not wear out.

This is huge, Diane. I know well that life changes, but knowing doesn't make it any easier. Love pulls us through, but even love needs help sometimes. I hope it helps to know that there are others caring as you do, and others who are thinking of you.
Such a lovely photo of the two of you, and I hope that the memories of that happiness in the mountains carries you through your day.
I hope that this transfusion is really helpful.
Sending hugs, my friend.
