Spring Evening................

The honeysuckles are beginning to bloom and this evening as I walked Rascal along the creek the smell was divine. Approaching flood stage, the creek is starting to get more turbulent and choke cherries are sprouting all over the place after their bad haircut. The air was crisp and chilly but the weatherman has assured us that we won't have frost tonight - good! I put out a sweet pea and one petunia thinking maybe I'd chance it.

An update on the transfusion. It seemed to give Leonard a little more energy.

Pondside said...: I haven't seen choke cherries for years. My mum used to have us pick them every summer and she'd make wine from them. Some of her choke cherry wine was used at the toast at our wedding.
