Survivor............

I wonder if you do this, too.
When I'm weeding, such as today, and accidentally break off a flower I can't stand to not rescue it from an early fate.  So with grubby hands I dig around for a vase and put the poor little thing in it to give it a few more days.
This one is in a tiny, tiny cocoa server about 1 1/2" tall.  The little pansy looks worse for wear because I washed the mud from it's face - to smile another day.               Diane

I am a kindred spirit for sure! I often have little bowls and vessels of all different shapes and sizes full of little broken dears from the flower beds...to be enjoyed in my house! Pretty little face you showed us!

Oh you are so cute! I always feel bad too. We unearthed a clump of forget me nots and I had to run and find a new place for it. :) Kit

Yes, I would do the same. I was upset the other day that I emptied a small plant from a bottle that I needed, and forgot to put the plant in another small vase. My son found it in the sink and threw it away. :(

You have always reminded me of the little girl in It's A Wonderful Life who wins a rose in school then catches a cold trying to get it home without freezing. Xo
