Pinecones and Roses

Hello, world!

This is the very first year for my Niobe Clematis.  Last year I thought I lost it but it scrambled up the arbor and is so beautiful right now.  So exciting and fun to have a new flower.  A few weeks ago I was watching the buds and looked down and Rascal was digging around the roots!  My heart almost stopped, I was sure it was gone again but look at it.

It's been very rainy here the last two days and it's lovely to get the moisture.  Happened to be the two days that my husband had planned a garage sale.  He was depressed about the rain and I told him it won't stop garage salers - and it didn't - they came in buckets!  And he sold a lot of the things he wanted to and I sold nearly all the things I had out.  There were so many people that I know and it was just wonderful to see them - wish you could have come too!!                                  Diane

How lovely, Diane. It looks like the top of a trellis - I want one too!

Nothing stops a hardcore garage saler. :) My aunt is one of those people though she may have slowed down in the past couple of years as her kids are telling her she has a hoarding problem and needs to clean up her act. Ha! Your clematis is lovely. Have a wonderful day. Tammy

Die Hard garage salers are the best aren't they! It doesn't matter here either Diane, you'll see them out rain or shine! Your clematis is beautiful. I planted honeysuckle and it's doing okay, but I was expecting that awesome aroma, and it doesn't have any. Must be a hybrid.
