New calves............

Little brown or black dots are scattered across the fields along with their mamas.  This is the time of the year that the little calves are born.  It gives my heart a lift to see new life. Leonard explained to me once that there are baby sitter cows.  One cow will be surrounded by many little ones allowing the other mothers time to graze.  They take turns so that everyone has a chance to graze peacefully.  Kind of neat, isn't it?

I like the idea of the baby sitter cows.

It seems so early for the little ones to be out already. Babysitting is not an easy job. That is sweet! xobean

It is amazing how animals care for one another. Mothers in the animal kingdom certainly have a strong bond with their babies. Sending hugs, Tammy
