Remembering

This little ornament seems even dearer this year as I hung it on the tree.  Mother made it many (15 or 20) years ago.  There's a tiny little electronic music box inside and when you pinch it a medley of Christmas songs play.  It still works.  I have other decorations made by her on the tree but this one is just more poignant to me.  She died last February and the little songs go on. It's nice to be reminded of her as I gaze at my tree full of memories.  Whenever I play it Rascal howls along with the music.  Sadness, joy, comedy.                     Diane

Yep, I think I have a couple of those ornaments. At least one. :) I love your header. It's fun to see you both (Leonard decorating the tree). xo bean

They are gone, but their memory is here ALWAYS. I think that must be one of the reasons for Christmas....to take time to remember

That is a very precious keepsake and it is so beautifully made.

Have a very peaceful and warm Christmas Diane. I got to taste some of Leonard's fudge!!!!!!!! WOW, now I know why you married him LOL

What a beautiful way to include the memory of your Mother! Apparently Rascal thinks so too, even if he does purrhaps sing off key ;)

Wishing you, your husband and Rascal a wonderful holiday filled with moments to treasure!
