Changes........

Fall is in the air.  It's so nice to have it cool enough in the daytime to work in my flowers.  But I better hurry, the seemingly laid back days of autumn also carry with them a sense of urgency.  Winter follows closely behind.                  Diane

Oh to be warm enough to grow grapes! Those that beautiful purple with the dusty bloom, what a treasure to come upon in the garden. Jane xx

Dear Diane
Your blog bought out good memories for me this morning. First your photo of those grapes actually made my mouth water. Back in Ohio, the ripening of Concord grapes was one event that I really looked forward to. The taste of richness and sweetness and fall. Ah, those grapes are wonderful! Also your new banner photo of the corrugated metal is so picture perfect and I love the colors. In Iceland, most of the houses are sided in corrugated metal and they also have metal roofs. The Icelanders are not shy about color and paint the metal siding orange, yellow, turquoise and other brilliant colors. I love these two images. Thanks for posting

I feel the sense of urgency too! Before I know it I will be out in the garden in freezing temps trying to tidy up before winter.

Love you pic too! Are those YOUR grapes?

I have enjoyed going through the posts I've missed since I was last on, what awesome times you've been having! Your grand daughter is adorable! When we were growing up, our neighbor had grape vines that covered a large piece of land. I remember every year, looking forward to picking the many varieties he had, especially the purple ones. Mmmmmm!
