Pinecones and Roses

Such a short season...................

........but loved and treasured.  May and lilac time.  The air is heavy with the wonderful scent and the earth is glorious.
Tomorrow I go to Buffalo to decorate my Mother and Daddy's graves and Grandma and Grandpa's.  I'm so glad that I'll be able to have lilacs - many years they're too late or frosted.
Hope you have a good Memorial Day weekend.

I have a big bouquet on the kitchen table today and the room smells wonderful. My lilac bush didn't do very well this year - I'll have to try to find out why.
How lovely to decorate your parents' graves with lilacs!

The lilacs here are also beautiful, there is one long stretch of road where both sides are lined with lilacs. I open the windows and the fragrance pours into the car. Intoxicating!

Mine are not even budding yet. Probably July before we see them, but I can share yours now :) Thanks Diane

Me too Diane! It's not every year that the two coincide for me so I am especially happy about lilac time!
many hugs...
