Hope for Happy Hearts.............

This is from last year's pictures but I thought you might be ready for a little breath of spring like me.  The little violets and pansies just make my heart smile.  Hearts Ease is what the common name is for the violas and I can see why.  Don't you just love the common names of flowers?  Bee Balm, Witches Thimbles, Foxglove, Love in a Mist.  They're all so old fashioned and descriptive and ............sweet.  I have a few little survivors showing their poor little beat up faces in my pansy bed - brave little spirits who have survived this hard winter and still cold weather.  But they're trying to come up and spring will come soon.      Diane

Beautiful and I love the old fashioned language of flowers. Lost to most today

I do love the old-fashioned and descriptive names for the old flowers. Violas will survive all winter here - raggedy, perhaps, but still colourful.

It's still creeping in here too. We're still having lows of 29-32 some days and I cringe in hopes of little damage to the things that have already reared their heads.

Yes, Spring will come and then you have summer to look forward to, whereas for us, things have gotten as good as they are gonna get and it's all downhill from here. Extreme heat will set in and more dust storms to come. My eyes are very itchy today and a scritchy scratchy throat, too. Hope you have a great week. Tammy
