the swept path.............

This path got snow packed before I could get out and clean it but I did the best I could this afternoon.  There's always those places left after the snow blower has been used - the little path to the bird feeders, to my cottage, to the storage shed, those little places that need a little more care.  And the broom is the one to do it.

There's kind of a peace and satisfaction to cleaning my little paths with the broom.  The rhythmic swish, swish, swish, swish takes me back to when I tagged along grandma as she made her little path to the cellar to get a jar of something out for supper.  The brush strokes were so neat and even when you looked back at where you'd been. It's isn't a chore to do this but a connection to her.                               Diane

I love how the simplest things can bring back the most fond of memories.

Have you been as frigid there as we have been here Diane? I wasn't able to get the front walk shoveled after the last snowfall the other day either and now it is rough and scary.
That will teach me to procrastinate.

I like your new header. Be careful while you are out there swish-swish-swishing. :) Hugs, Tammy

How lovely that you have that sweet memory as you sweep your own path.
