Sweet Snowflakes

When my oldest daughter was going to college in Billings she made me 12 of these delicate snowflakes.  That was back in around 1980.  Every year when I hang them on the tree I think of how broke she was and yet she sat and created these for me.  They just grow dearer as the years go by.

They are beautiful, and just the sort of thing I love, too. A snowflake brightens the dark parts of the tree - I like to see them peeking out from the depths - and something precious like that is doubly pleasing as it gives you a chance to pull out a sweet memory as you place it on the tree.
