honey..................

A lovely jar of honey came in the mail a while back and we've been savoring every drop.  This honey came from Alaska and it has a delicate floral to it - I'm wondering if it might be the beautiful fire weed.  It's absolutely divine!                       Diane

Diane....so glad you are enjoying the hard work of my bees. I would love to think that there is a bit of fire weed nectar in it but to be honest I stood out in my patch of fireweed multiple time to see if I could spot a honeybee - I never did. Perhaps they found a patch of fireweed somewhere else but the place I noticed them the most was on the clover growing in my yard! I finally gave up mowing at all and just let the bees enjoy. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Leonard and Rascal!!!

Isn't it so amazing that the taste of honey is so different based on the area and what those little bees have to eat. :) Lovely journal page. Have a great day. Tammy
