Quite possibly my favorite flower. And I agree with Ruth, that hollyhocks are a childhood friend. Grandma H. had them on one side of her house. We used to pretend they were ladies with big skirts. Good imaginations :) Love you, Bean
Hollyhocks always grew in Mom's flowerbed at the back door, and I planted them around my gardens here. I'm just waiting for some blooms! Yours are so beautiful Diane.
They are gorgeous! Those are what bloom around the block from me every year -- of course, now with the heat, they are gone, but I will look forward to seeing them again when winter rolls around -- December/January. :) Best wishes, Tammy

These are absolutely lovely. I didn't know they came in all those colors. And they are all in or near your yard? How lucky you are!!!!!
Foxgloves grow like that up here. I haven't had hollyhocks for a long time - maybe next year!
