Catching Up

Finally got a cool enough morning to work outside.  The state of the yard and my flowers was wearing me down and the heat was keeping me inside.  It was cloudy and sprinkly all morning and I got as much done as I could.  Mowing, clipping, deadheading - I feel so much better.  I imagine it's about the same with you.

The terrible tragedy in Colorado has shaken our peace and the security of everyone.
If parents don't start being parents this terrible cycle will continue.  They cannot allow the movies to raise their children.  My children would not have been allowed to see any of the violent movies of today and much of the stuff on TV.  That doesn't mean that I was perfect - it means that I cared what went into their young minds.      Diane

Love the picture. We still see beauty even when in other places hearts are torn apart. We were pretty strict with our son and I don't regret this at all.

My sentiments exactly, Diane. I know there are those who would beg to differ, but since censorship in programming was dropped and church became a chore for parents to take their kids, society has gone down hill. I don't know if things will ever turn around, and this is just another horrible example.

It is awful when you can't go to the movies without something like this happening. I just don't know how someone can come up with such a plan and carry it through with such clarity. You cannot be normal and be able to do such things. Even if my boys saw a movie like this, they would never come to a point of wanting to hurt others. It is hard to understand what brings someone to the point of wanting to carry out such a heinous act. It's just absolutely senseless. The Today Show did nothing yesterday but report on this incident, talking to people who were in the movie theater. I don't understand why everyone keeps interviewing those who were there. After such a tragic incident, I would imagine that one would have a hard time thinking clearly. Besides, the murderer is in custody -- get the story from him. The only questioned to be answered is why? Why would he commit such a senseless act? Why?

Wishing you a peaceful, beautiful day. Tammy

I can't help but agree with you, Diane. We had our own horror in Toronto last weekend.

I agree! I could not believe it when I heard about the shootings. Violence is becoming so commonplace in everything we see. I feel so bad for the families. Kit
