Pink?

When I go to the garden center I tell myself "O.K., now,
think pink, that's what you're looking for PINK, PINK, PINK.
Then I walk in the door and am assailed by every
color in the universe, different plants that I haven't
seen before, and old favorites.  None, however,
are my decided color scheme.
Are you like that?  In talking to my daughters I
find that I'm not alone.
Yarn's the same way, and fabric.
I found this amazing petunia - the
flowers are huge.
How does your garden grow?

I get it, Diane! I'm the same way - this year I wanted all pink, fuchsia and purple and I've gone out and bought yellow, white and orange. I spent the day in the flower beds, getting the last of the plants in before the wedding - it's a madhouse here!

I can never stick to a colour scheme.I'm close this year, but still had to add in some flower which didn't quite fit.

I know what you mean Diane, I'm working on my front yard gardens and when I think I have it figured out, I see something else. So I'm going to finish preparing the beds, and taking my sister with me to help chose plants, she helps keep me in check! The petunia's are beautiful!

That is a very deep, deep purple! Wow! I have to buy what will survive here. I don't know why I keep buying geraniums. They certainly can't take the heat and dust. Hope your day is a good one. Tammy

This is awesome...are those blossoms actually black??? I've never seen any like them. The gardens I enjoy most come from photos on the blogspots. It is so nice to find them here. My color scheme usually involves high-contrast coloring, although there is nothing more lovely than soft candlelight pastels that are so quiet and soothing.

I have to pop this in here, now that you've brought the subject up. Have you ever noticed women and girls almost always wearing the same colors in church. I find it very perplexing. Almost always, we all wear the same color palette....everyone is wearing blues on the same day, for example, even neutrals a few weeks ago. We were dressed in beiges and taupes and browns. How does that happen???? It's like a decree from the universe..."This Sunday, everyone wear yellow to church...." ???????????!!!!???
