Some Winter Visitors

This morning this Northern Flicker was holding
his own against a couple Starlings.

Sorry this is so far away.  He was close but
as I tried to photograph him he/she flew higher and
higher and soon was joined by 5 other ones.
I couldn't identify it - just too far away.

Although I think the Crows are beautiful and
smart they're unwelcome.  They just bother the
other bird's too much.

That's a great shot of the Northern Flicker. I find that they are very shy and difficult to photograph. Well done!

Wonderful pictures. I just have to remind you and Betsy that you are so lucky to see those beautiful birds. I am lucky to see my little quail once in awhile.
