Gratitude - Home

My bed
Our bathroom
Our quirky kitchen floor which was once an old
porch and still has the slant to it
Getting in the door and being home
Everything that's wrong with it
Everything that's right
My gratitude today - home

Home, it is a wonderful place to be. Even though my health is tipsy turvy, I am very grateful to be home, for my friends and my husband. So glad to hear that Catherine is on the mend, I understand the name thing.....I only let those precious to me shorten my name....lol, I know I am the one that started it, hee hee!!! Rascal looks so sweet, all tucked up in his bed, what a good dog!
I loved taking Sue's class, it was so good for my soul....maybe one day we will take one together. Her manner of teaching is so awesome, she really is very talented and I just love the friendship that comes with the girls down south, they are really nice women.
I have so much more to share, and lots more to catch up on, I am behind in reading all your posts....need to catch up!!!
Hugs,
Mags

Home.
ET and I have that in common - we love Hooooome, as he said it in the film.

What a sweet tribute to those things that make up home. You always cause me to think about my own gratitudes and what I like about different things.

Ha . . . I love Pondside's comment.
I remember being so embarrassed when you cried at ET in the theater. ;)

I love your home too. And I have to say, when I see a person who doesn't have a home - it stops me in my tracks and makes me feel grateful for EVERYTHING that I have. Including a home. I mostly love my bathtub and ALL of our animals. xobean

So sweet. Home - the perfection of imperfection.
Have a lovely weekend, Diane!

I think my bed is calling me now and it is only 6:20 pm. So thankful for protection from the winds and the dust. That Rascal has his own little comfy cozy bed and looks so very sweet. Jingles just sleeps wherever she wants, changes things up now and then. She usually sleeps with me during the winter. :) Hope your day is great. Tammy

You have hit the nail square on the head with this one Diane!!! I don't know if you know this, but I live in a pre-fab home and they are not built as well as stick built homes. It was all we could afford many years ago when our family was all home. I felt it was inferior for many years, and then when we were faced with the choice to build a new one (that came with a hefty mortgage payment) I surprised myself and told my husband I didn't want to let it go. It held our memories and even with all of it's faults, I love it. It is home to me.
I love your sweet picture of Rascal enjoying his time at home too!
hugs from here...

I totally agree Diane, when I walk in the door and see the little things that make my house a home, am greeted by my dog kids, I know I'm where I want to be.
Rascal looks so comfy!
