Home Grown Tomatoes

The best time of the year - when you can eat tomatoes at every meal if you want.  And I can't grow them anymore.  I'm O.K. with flowers but my veggies are a dismal failure.  I happened to be in the right place at the right time yesterday and ended up with a lovely bunch of them from the thrift store.  We've been feasting.

Oh I wish I could send you some of my tomatoes Diane. They are late, but they are finally here.

Oh, Yummy. They are never so good as fresh from a garden. These are just beautiful. I'm also looking forward to finding some apples....hope I haven't waited too long.

We will not have more than a couple of red tomatoes - we'll be eating lots of green tomato curry this fall.

Tomatoes from a thrift store? There is nothing like a freshly picked tomato with just a little sprinkle of salt on a sandwich.I love this time of the year with all of the fresh vegetables and fruit. We have a lot of farm markets here to get them from....
