Beebalm

Beebalm, Monarda, Oswego Tea, Horse Mint, whatever you want to call it it's a delightful plant.  It isn't picky about elevations, it grows in my garden and in the mountains.  If you don't have it and you love bees and butterflies why don't you give it a try.                  Diane

I used to have it, but the deer ate it all. Now that we have the deer fence, I don't know why I haven't planted more of it - perhaps there's a plant left at the garden centre, or someone will split some for me.

This is a good plant to attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Your picture is lovely.

I actually saw a bee buzzing around on my balcony this morning. We don't see them often. Although when Jingles was little, she did try to catch one and it stung her lip. She looked pretty funny for days from the swelling. :/ Hope your day is great. Best wishes, Tammy

I always wanted to plant Monarda. It also comes in a brilliant red, doesn't it?

Don't you love purple and green? Much less the insects that it attracts! I don't blame them. xobean
