To Ranger Creek

It was a great day for a trip to the mountains.  This road doesn't seem too steep but by the time we get to the top we've climbed at least 3,000 feet.  It gets steeper.  One side is straight down and I can't even take a picture, I'm afraid of heights, especially when the drop off is right at the edge of the road.
 O. K. - we're part way up, I can relax enough to get out and look back and get this shot. Some of these shots are much better enlarged.
A little further down the road this is off to our left, I love this view of part of the Cloud Peak Wilderness.

Wildflowers everywhere - lupine, gayfeather, bitterroot, shooting stars, larkspur, prairie smoke just to name a few.  We both took a lot of pictures.  There were so many people taking pictures of the wildflowers.  I couldn't help but wonder if any of them were bloggers.

We had lunch at Ranger Creek Campground.  I must say this isn't allowed at home but this was a special occasion.  We had lunch and headed back down.  Leonard did well,  we're never sure how he will react to the drastic altitude change but the trip is good for the soul.  He was very tired when we got home but we had a great time.      Diane

What a height! I enlarged the photos and enjoyed the view - and the wildflowers. It looks like you three had a great day, and perfect weather for it.

Isn't it the most beautiful country!!! I really like your photos. Do you like to play mystery games/? I think I see a mysterious robed figure to the right of the old trees in picture #5 He is wearing big round sunglasses. Haha...Hope you don't mind me pointing that out. The flowers are very pretty. You get such clear shots. I hope Leonard is doing well. Bet you're all tired.
