There's Something About Rocks

Rocks have always been a passion of mine - looking down you never know what you're going to see.  As a child our dad would get upset with me because every time I got out of the car in the mountains I'd fill my pockets up with rocks.  I've toned it down some, now I just look for heart-shaped, round, egg-shaped, and wish-rocks.  The wish rocks I learned about  in Alaska, they're the ones with on a line entirely through them.  Don't you just want to pick up one of those white ones and hold it in your hand?                    Diane

So you're a little rock hound huh? My grandaughter has collected most of the rocks out of our driveway I swear. I think we are going to have to bring in another truckload of gravel in just to keep up with her. I wonder what her mom is doing with all those rocks?
I love that sweet Rascal's face!

These are beautiful Diane. I love rocks too. Didn't know about the wish rocks. Very interesting. I used to have a unique collection of rocks but gave them to my ex-brother-in-law many moons ago -- wish I had them now. have a beautiful day. Tammy

I love collecting rocks and beach pebbles. We have a beach nearby with lots of 'lucky' pebbles with holes through them. I like to thread them onto wire and make garlands of them to give to my friends. Jane x

Have a great weekend.

I have always found that rolling river rocks around in one's hand to be so very soothing. Great post, hope that you are well,

I go down to the beach to pick up rocks, they're so beautiful. I have never heard of wish rocks though, how did they get the name?
