Romance

Sometimes romance has nothing to do with him and her, about catching the guy.  I think romance is just romance.  It's a beautiful movie or book that touches your soul, the feeling you get when you stand in awe of mountains that stretch on forever, the smell of pansies, or walking barefoot in the fresh grass.   It's going through old photos, the smell of a kitten, the love of a dog.  Romance is rich, thick lace that hangs just so, pale pink ribbons, old satin ribbons in the palest of ecru, the turn of a frame thick with flowers and leaves, the sound of a voice that you love.  Romance is what we love.  Period.           Diane

Love this post, Diane... WE had much ROMANCE while on our trip out west. We loved it; the beauty was fabulous...

BUT---we also experience ROMANCE right here at home --when we look at our Roses, or when I watch my birds.... There's love and beauty EVERYWHERE--if just LOOK.

Hugs,
Betsy

This is a beautiful and perfect definition of Romance. You have expressed it very well. No wonder you have such a talent for photography and your expressions that you share here. They show your poet's soul.
I love the pink and new pictures at the top. Is that you in the upper right with Rascal? No, that's not Rascal, is it. But it could be you.
Enjoy your day and the rest of the week. May you languish in loveliness.

Hello Diane,
I liked your thoughts and beautiful photograph in this post. It reminded me of Virginia Woolf's phrase 'Moments of Being'- those moments when you appreciate life and experience it to its fullest extent. Thank you for reminding me to do just that! Jane x

Lovely post, Diane, and your roses are beautiful!

I moved a 4" wild rose plant from down the hill to our foundation garden, and this week there are 3 little blooms. They only last 1 day and then all the petals fall to the ground, but the scent is heavenly! A little romance at my house. :)

Wishing you a very happy day,
Zuzu

I totally agree! Romance is my gray kitty curling up next to me on the couch. Kit
